blocked by the smog from the 41st floor of Galaxy Towers in Jersey. Who said a deluxe apartment in the sky always has the best view? Had a wonderful time anyhow with my aunt and her friends- a married couple from Benin and Germany. I realized how much I take for granted when the husband described how restrictive life was for people in East Germanylife before the Berlin Wall came down.

Yesterday, I finally mastered the art of taking down a classroom, having children occupy themselves without killing each other, and getting a crying child off the stairs and back on line without wanting to kill myself. Seriously…
education is my passion but the actual art of learning is still a mystery to me. I can’t believe that it’s supposed to take place an enclosed space with one teacher directing 20+ students but I’m too busy relaxing to consider the alternatives.
